Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am writing to express my deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks to you for contributing to the success of our campaign. That campaign was about more than my candidacy to become the first permanent Family Court Judge at Civil District Court. Our campaign was about implementing an institutional reform that will help children and families who are experiencing distress in divorce, custody, and domestic violence disputes. 

Thanks to your support and the efforts of so many others, I have now been given the opportunity to put into practice our shared vision of a first-rate Family Court. Because we ran a positive, issue-oriented campaign, we can now legitimately claim a victory not only for a candidate but also for the ideas that you and I put forward in our campaign.

We were guided in that campaign by a concern for the people of our city and the welfare of the children in divorce and custody disputes.  They all need and deserve a consistent, fair and caring presence on the bench to see them through the difficult situations that bring them to the court.  I have pledged before – and I now reaffirm my pledge – to serve with integrity and diligence and with a proper concern for all who appear before me as the city’s first permanent Family Court Judge.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your support of my candidacy and for your continued friendship. I will never forget how helpful you were and how powerful a message we put before the voters in this campaign. We could not have done it without the combined contributions of so many good-hearted members of the community.
